ppeee sssss: yes you kitties were correct; I was boicatting that blankie just to getz my points across.  You can'tz blame me. after  we had to listen to her going on....and on.... about blah blah this quilt and blah blah that quilt... it was just too much.

ppppppsss: for those kitties who asked
yes, it's for real. it's an albatross
isn't he just darling!

their wingspan is near 10 feet.
they spend 99 percent of their time flying over the ocean looking for food.
I'm currently making an art quilt about the albatross on midway island
i was inpired by the poem
Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner and this stanza
Ah ! well a-day ! what evil looks
Had I from old and young !

Instead of the cross, the Albatross
About my neck was hung.

Sadly, thousands of ablatross chicks have perished of starvation as the food the adults are picking up is all plastic refuse.
There are photos online of the chicks laying in their nests and you can clearly see all the plastic crap they have ingested along with bic lighters, milk rings, etc.  I will post photos of my art quilt when it's done.
For full details of the tragedy; you can look here:

Well!

That Woman had to get tissues after this one.
So much for her mascara
she said all she could think of was Mr. Puddy

Oi Vey!

Hey Kitties
You'll notice this is an old picture.
That is because That Woman has the
NeRvE to be occupied this week...
It's that time of year when she has a big quilt show in Long Beach, Ca.
She has two special pieces in the show this year (well la-de-frickn' da!).
Something like over 100k folks will go thru the show during its three days so she get's excitable.
It's funny watching her;
frantically trying to instantly lose 10lbs, get her hair done (like that would help) and find something flattering (snicker) to wear like it won't be something she wears every day to work! MOL

But seriously~ she leaves us to our own devices and that means getting the pied to go in and wake The Gurl so we can eat (if we're lucky The Gurl forgets and fills the kibble dishes to the r.i.m.!)  ThAt part is pretty pawsome.  But The Gurl won't take dictations and is really a delinquent on handin' out the treats!  And if she does hand out treats the fat pied gets more than me!

So... I must wait.
can you imagine?
ME!
having to wait...

ghastly!

what keeps me going is thinking of the ways I shall reap my reward upon Her return.  eBiL laffing!

until next we meet

At Long Last...

er... sort of.  bit jumbly but if you let it load; it's not bad.  turn the volume up.
told ya she sounds like the Grim Reaper.  And she wasn't even giving it
her best 'Catitude' but my batteries were dying (naturally)
The long slow stretch is for her beloved Mr. D.

Really?

Heya kitties; Stella here.
You've seen the cats around this place right?
Spoiled, f.a.t.,
spoiled

They are shrouded, pampered princesses

They have more than one woobie and sleep on both  them at the same time
and there most likely is a person under there as well

They also lay on quilts in progress with their ears on fire

But me?

Well; I don't need all that nonsense

I prefer

the dirt

under the old bench, in the dirt
sometimes in the shade; but always in
the
dirt

From Miss Jenga

Bonjour Kitties!
Miss Jenga here; come to give you a tour of what occupies That Woman on Saturdays
well,  ME of course... but also the yard.
I go out to help her look over the grounds.
She laments she is only one old decrepit person and it's a giant yard and too much work, but we
do what we can to help her by not letting her hear us sniggering behind her back.

She tries to find plants that will be big to offer an overgrown cottage feel, but be drought tolerant. Not the easiest combination.
Plumerias are wonderful as they don't require maintenance until summer, which is when She likes to be out watering by hand anyhow so they have been prolific.  The one above is over 5 feet tall.  She has several color varieties around the yard but they aren't all blooming yet. This one is a rainbow of pink, yellow & white.

Her next 'passion' was this bush.  Er, was a bush; she's trained it into a tree.  It's hard to keep up on it but it's been worth it. She really wanted  Wysteria, but they are difficult and only have a short bloom time (though admittedly so worth it!).  She found this and was quite pleased.  She planted one outside my bedroom window the same time she planted this one 3 looooong years ago. They started out only a foot tall; this one is now a lovely 'tree-in-training' and that is a 6 foot fence it's hovering over now.

The one by my window looks like this from the outside.
She has trained the honeysuckle (bright orange) on the left, combined with the brilliant blue-purple of this plant, the combined colors are wonderful and irresistible to our hummers.  Only problem there is they do get right up to the window and on more than one occasion She has been been rudely awoken with an errant cat foot in her face! (serves her right if you ask me!)

Here is what it looks like from my bed

Really the best time is at night; window wide open and we lay underneath feeling the cool breezed and smell the fragrant plumerias as the breeze carries their delicate but strong fragrance across the yard.

There is also a goldfinch sock hanging there but they are such skittish birds she hasn't been able to photograph them as of yet.  She loves listening to them talk; I talk right back to them but my goldfinichan must be rusty, cos they lite off right away.  Maybe I've got too much 'hawk' in my inflections... hummmmmm..
Oh well, thanks for readin, I love reading about everykitties gardens so it was nice to share ours. (more or less)

Cat-sat this little lady

Hiya!  We are pleased to introduce 'Kitty'
This darling girl adopted a great family we are friends with
if you biggify the photo you can see her right up close.
She's just darling

She even keeps the family goggie in check (like most good kitties)

She quickly tired of all my attentions and settled down for a nap.

Oh Those Tuxie Toes! (for Toesday)

Jack Toes!

That Woman is in love with these feets!

Miss Jack enjoys the sun on her NipQuilt

Miss Jenga

So, when I'm not here oogling flutterbys

I'm here; dreaming of them

ppee; ssss;  That Woman leaves her sleeping spot like this on Sunday's just for me; she say's when she sees me here all snugglefied; she is nearly drawn in by the snugglyon particle field surrounding the immediate area.  But usually I get away with just a few worshipful kisses on my feets.  I can hang with that.

Snoozy Sunday

Ok; the heat is off (sort of)

So, it's dark

just like me
enjoy the toes!

Here's one I'm particularly fond of; I was feeling very ebil and flew off like my tail was on fire right after this!
