Mmmmm, looks sooooo comfertabuls to me! It was nice of your Mom to being you home that Chick-hen to help you not miss the kittens so much. We bet that Oranj Boy is glad they're gone though, huh? They looked pretty content in their new home--so glad they got to stay together.
About the bugs: Got rid of all bedding* including blankets and pillows, AND the whole bed too, AND had the exterminator to BOMB and spray. *Except the quilt! I put it in a plastic garbage bag and took it to the laundromat--I know the label said to wash in cold water but I *had* to use hot, as hot water and soap get rid of all the buggies and their eggs. The hot water does not seem to have done it any harm, thankfully. Right now, it is temporarily folded up on a shelf as the weather is SO HOT and muggy I haven't been using anything more than a sheet. I did buy a new bed last weekend (the one I had was 15 or 20 years old, so probably time for a new one anyway) and invested in those zippered bed-bug-proof "slipcovers" for both the mattress and box springs. It was a real mess. I spent two fun-filled weeks sleeping in a blow-up bed on the dining room floor to give the insecticide plenty of time to work before putting a new bed in there. So that's the whole bedbug story.
Good times!
