It is March after all, I'm Irish after all, and there's green in there... after all. Posting this for Miss Lynn to see :) It measures 72" x 72". I remember why I don't do big ones now.
I love it! The colors are so perfect for welcoming spring! I've always liked the irish chain pattern, and it lends itself to some fun quilting. Thank for posting pictures!
Thanks Lynn! I appreciate it. I'm thinking of doing the 'box' stitch or the random babtist fan pattern. I would never attempt feathers! Yours (feathers) are stunningly gorgeous!
When you say "box" stitch, do you mean crosshatching through the blocks? I think that would look very nice!
I'd like to know more about how you've used satin ribbon to finish the edges of a quilt. Could you e-mail me and tell me more about that? I need to get that quilt finished and ready for a show.
Beautiful quilt! What is it about the simple square and 4 or 9 patch that draws me right to it. I realized at quilt shows that as soon as I see that little checkerboard I want to smile like I'm seeing an old friend. I feel a change in my whole attitude when I see one and your quilt invited me right in. The only large quilt I have ever made (and finished) was this pattern. It was burned in a house fire -- maybe it is time to try it again. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your quilting joys!
