(this was from last night; she's pretty oozy right now so I'll spare you )
Dr. Murphy said the state of her mouth was so bad and she was in so much pain from several exposed roots and severe gingivitis there was no way she (Dr Murphy)was going to put Esme through three more return visits. She decided to work all four quadrants today and get this girl healing ASAP.
In total; Esme had 7 extractions and seven further root removals (root canals basically with no replacement caps). She had one incisor removed but thus far with all her swelling I can't tell which one it was.
As you can see we used every bit of all the donations! I still can't thank everyone enough for all you've done for our dear Corny girl!
More later; i'm gonna go get her and settle in for some Netflix.
xoxo
Poor baby....but she should feel so much better once she heals up
ReplyDeleteOh poor Esme. We send her lots of healing purrs.
ReplyDeletePoor little curly white girl!
ReplyDeleteSpitty had 12 extractions at once last summer (when he was 11) and he healed quite rapidly (of course, I don't think his little mouf was in quite as bad a condition as Miss E's--but it was really not good; the cost was about the same, too). He was back to himself in less than a week for sure, really only a few days. He is purring his very best purrs for her to heal up fast. I see she got zacklee the same meds as he did--only I'm afraid a lot of his ended up on the floor :-( Maybe she'll be more cooperative! I kept trying to 'splain to him that those pain meds would make him realllly happy, but he wasn't having any of it! XOXOXOXO
Bless her (and you!). We are sending some serious purrs for a quick recovery for sweet Esme. Thank you for keeping us updated.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
P.S. Losing the 12 teefs has not affected his eating at all--he eats wet food, kibble, whatever he wants. I think maybe the kitties are not so much with the chewing, you know? Well, anyway, I'm sure she would not be sorry to see a jar of the Gerber's ;-) What she probably really wants is peace and laptime and sleepies. XOXO
ReplyDeletePoor little lambie! She has been quite the trouper through all of this; despite her pain Esme is such a love!! I can only imagine how happy she's gonna be this time a week from now! Gentle smooches from me...xxoo
ReplyDeletePoor darling girl! So glad they did it all at once though and with pain meds that I hope she takes well from you. Sending all our purrs and love!
ReplyDeletePoor sweet Esme! Isabella sends extra purrs since she knows how Esme feels. The third day for her was the worst since the long acting pain shot wore off by then. We all hope she feels better soon. Sending love and purrs.

ReplyDeletePoor baby. Calvin had almost all his teeth except the incisors pulled in one day and recovery was fast. He could eat everything! I think she'll feel like a whole different girl when she heals.
